Why
Carrots are an excellent source of vitamin A, potassium and fibre and are high in beta-carotene. Chewing on carrots can also help improve your dog's dental health. The main risk is choking, which is why whole carrots and even carrot sticks should be cut into bite-size chunks.
What to do
Talk to your vet about how many carrots suit your dog each day.
How to give it
Wash and/or peel the carrots, then cut whole carrots and even carrot sticks into bite-size chunks. Raw and cooked carrots are both fine.
