Trust
Every child can take care of their pet.
Some children find swipes hard, use a screen reader or prefer less motion on screen. PetPrep adapts to them — with the same rules, the same points and the same certificate as everyone else.
In the app
Easier gestures
Instead of swiping, the child holds a finger down or presses a button — in every swipe game: brushing, the feather wand, changing the litter and throwing the ball. A parent turns it on for each child in the parent area.
Screen readers
With VoiceOver or TalkBack on, the games switch to holding by themselves. The pet header reads out everything about the pet, and each step in the care games is its own button.
Less motion
When the phone is set to reduce motion, pulsing buttons and the swaying Curio stand still.
Coming with the next app update
Wheelchair walks
In adapted mode, wheelchair pushes count exactly like steps — one push is one step. A parent can also log today's walk minutes, so the child doesn't have to do anything extra. A parent turns it on for each child, and turning it off removes the marker from the history.
