Can dogs eat cantaloupe?
Yes, in moderation. Cantaloupe is low in calories and a good source of water and fibre, but it is high in sugar, so share it sparingly, especially with dogs who are overweight or diabetic. Do not give the rind or seeds.

Why
Cantaloupe rinds, like watermelon rinds, can cause stomach upset, can become impacted in the digestive tract and are a choking hazard. The seeds are harmless but can also be a choking hazard. Too many treats on top of a healthy diet can lead to obesity.
What to do
If you have questions or concerns about feeding your dog cantaloupe, for example if your dog is diabetic, ask your vet.
How to give it
Only the flesh, without the rind and seeds; as an occasional treat.
