Can cats eat grapes?
No. Grapes are on the list of foods toxic to cats, and eating them can cause kidney failure. Avoid them completely, even small amounts, and call your vet if your cat eats any.

Why
Cat welfare charities warn that grapes can cause kidney failure in cats, and that cats with chronic kidney disease may be at greater risk. Grape poisoning in cats is rare and not well understood, and some sources only describe it in dogs, so we use the stricter level: treat any amount as an emergency.
Signs to watch for
- Vomiting, often within a day
What to do
Contact your vet or a pet poison helpline right away. Note how many grapes your cat ate and when. Don't wait for signs to appear, and don't try to make your cat sick at home.
